Louis S. Farabini Jr., 58, of Somerset, husband of Deanna (Albino) Farabini, died Saturday 12/5/09 after a brief illness. Born in Fall River, son of Louis & Connie (Lopes) Farabini, of Swansea, he resided in Somerset the past 9 years and had also lived in Fairhaven for 16 years. A radio personality for over 30 years with various local area stations, including WSAR, WBSM and WNBH/the former WMYS, on air he was known as "Jay Elliott." He enjoyed videography, sailing and the ocean – and Newport was his favorite place. Besides his wife and parents, he leaves: 2 children, Jennifer Hoffman (husband Jim) of Norton, MA, and Benjamin A. Farabini of Somerset; granddaughter, Riley Hoffman; several aunts, uncles & cousins. His funeral Mass was celebrated in St. Louis de France Church in Somerset on Wednesday, Dec. 9th, followed by committal services at Vinnicum Woods Cemetery in Swansea.
