Louis P. Goncalo, age 88, formerly of 170 Oak Grove Ave., Fall River, died Monday (10/22) at Highlander Nursing Center. Born in Fall River, he was the son of the late Manuel and Maria (Pacheco) Goncalo. A retired textile worker, Louis had worked for the former Louis Hand Co. He was an Army Veteran of World War II. He is survived by 2 sons, Louis Goncalo, Jr. and Michael Goncalo both of Fall River, 3 grandchildren, Ondrea, Michael and Ethan Goncalo, 2 great grandchildren, Hayley and Hannah Goncalo, several nieces and nephews. He was also brother of the late John, Manuel, James & Gilbert Goncalo, Olivia Goncalo, Mary Medeiros and Angelina DeMello. His private funeral was held on Monday, October 29, with a Funeral Mass in St Anthony of Padua Church. The celebrant was Father Brian Albino. Interment was in St Patrick Cemetery.
