Louis Mendonca, 50, of Dartmouth, husband of Gina (Silva) Mendonca, died unexpectedly Thursday April 14, 2016 at St Elizabeth Hospital, Boston. Born in Furnas, St Michael, Azores, son of Jose & Ana (Sousa) Mendonca, he worked as a Fall River water service inspector, and as a property manager with Bronhard Realty. Besides his wife of nearly 28 years, he leaves: a daughter, Nicole Mendonca of Dartmouth; 3 siblings, Jose Mendonca of Westport, Evangelina Mendonca & Margaret Feijo (husband Peter) both of Fall River; several nieces & nephews, He was also a brother of the late Eduardo Mendonca.

Louie was the kindest and most generous of human beings. His large personality touched many of our hearts. He was extremely hard working, and as many already know, would have done anything for his family and friends. Lou devoted his life to be a provider and always wanted the very best for his wife and daughter. He put others first, went out of his way to help people, and supported many with his words and actions. Heaven gained an angel and his family and friends have gained a guardian angel. He has made an impact on our lives and will continue to do so by guiding us from above. He is a beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend and we will carry him in our hearts until we meet again.

His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Wednesday, April 20th, in St George Church, Westport followed by his committal at Notre Dame Cemetery.
