Louis Couto Rodrigues, age 63, passed away Thursday, April 10, 2014, at the Phillip Hulitar Hospice House in Providence, Rhode Island. Born in Fall River, he was the son of the late Manuel Couto Rodrigues and the late Louise (Faria) Rodrigues. A lifelong resident of Fall River, he was a graduate of B.M.C. Durfee High School and an avid motorcycle enthusiast. Employed as a mail handler by the United States Postal Service for many years, he worked at the main hub in Providence, RI, retiring early due to his illness. A Vietnam Veteran, Louis served as a Radio TT Operator with the United States Army. Surviving family members include his two sons; Adam Rodrigues and Michael Rodrigues, both of Fall River, a daughter, Jessica Rodrigues and his wife, Elaine (Rock) Rodrigues, both of Somerset, two nephews; William Weigel of California and Walter Weigel of Poughkeepsie, NY, and his brother-in-law, William Weigel, also of Poughkeepsie. Louis was also the brother of the late Adriana Weigel and the late Maria Louise Lebeau. His funeral arrangements were private.
