Louis Themuda, Jr, better known as "Uncle Lou" or "Red", of Swansea, died Monday, September 21st, 2009 at Southpointe Rehab. Born in Westport, son of the late Louis & Francelina (Silva) Themuda, he lived most of his life in Fall River and resided in Swansea for the past 23 years. A quality control inspector in the local textile industry for many years, retiring from Globe Mfg in 1981, he was also a Naval Aviation veteran of World War II and a member of the former St. Michael Church, Swansea. Brother of Susie Farias of Tiverton and the late Mary T Vieira, Beatrice DePoint, Manuel, John, Michael, Alfred & Charles Themuda. He also leaves many nieces and nephews, including his caretaker, Edward Vieira. His funeral Mass was celebrated at St Francis of Assisi Church, Swansea on Wednesday, September 23rd. Pallbearers Quincy Sears, Chris Nearpass, Charlie Ferland, Anthony Frometta, John Frank, and John Frank, Jr. brought Louis to his final resting place at St Patrick Cemetery.
