Louis J. Valerio, 62, of Saunderstown, Rhode Island, husband of Patricia (Barboza) Valerio, passed away on Tuesday, January 16, 2018, at home after a brief illness. Born in Lomba da Maia, St. Michael, Azores, son of the late Jose Valerio and the late Maria (Sousa) Valerio.  Louis was a 1975 Graduate of Diman Regional Vocational High School.  He was employed by Electric Boat for 38 years until his retirement in 2015.

Besides his wife, of 25 years, he is survived by: three brothers, Peter Valerio and his wife Paula of Bristol, Rhode Island, Jose Valerio of Fall River, and Michael Valerio and his wife Lynn of North Providence, Rhode Island. Mr. Valerio was the beloved uncle of Nicole Valerio, Jose Valerio, Jr., James Barboza and Steven Barboza. He was also brother of the late Lucy Valerio.

His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Monday, January 22nd, in St. Anthony of Padua Church followed by his committal at St. Patrick Cemetery, all in Fall River.
