Obituary

Louise Gosson, 82, of Fall River, wife of Richard Gosson, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 23, 2024 in the comforts of her home following a courageous and long battle with Scleroderma. Born in Fall River, she was a daughter of the late Harold W. Greenwood, the late Rita (Mailloux) Pacheco and the late Joseph Pacheco (her step father).

She loved trips to the Las Vegas casinos and, in her younger days, dancing at Lincoln Park and gardening. But what most important to Louise was spending quality time with her family.

Besides her husband of sixty-five years, she is survived by her loving children, Richard Gosson, Jr. and his wife, Ann, of Berkley, Robert Gosson and his long-time companion, Jen, of Somerset,  Denise Carneiro (who was also her caregiver) and her husband, Tony, and Kelly Daylor and her husband, Richard, both of Fall River; her eight grandchildren, Kristy Ferreira, Jenna Carneiro, Austin Carneiro, Brian Souza, Nicole Souza, Ashley Gosson, Heather Gosson, and James Perry; fifteen great-grandchildren, Madden, Tayvin, Ava, Annabelle, Emily, Antonio, Lexi, Destiny, Silas, Jaxson, Celina, Abbey, Ryan Jr., Milli, and Hunter; her two aunts, Jan and Anita; sister-in-law, Theresa; and many nieces and nephews. She was also the mother of the late Deborah Souza, grandmother of the late Richie Gosson, III, and sister of the late Harold W. Greenwood, Jr., Robert Greenwood, and Rosemarie Silvia.

Her funeral arrangements, under the care of the Silva-Faria Funeral Homes, were private. In lieu of flowers, kindly consider a donation in Louise's memory to: National Scleroderma Foundation, 300 Rosewood Drive, Suite 105, Danvers, MA 01923.  https://srfcure.org/support-us/ways-to-give/.
