Lucia M. (Sousa) Pereira, 80, of Fall River, wife of Miguel C. Pereira, passed away on Wednesday, April 20, 2022, at St. Anne's Hospital. Born in Ponta Delgada, St. Michael, Azores, a daughter of the late Jose Paquete and the late Virginia (Sousa) Paquete, she emigrated to Fall River in 1969.

She worked in the local garment industry, at the former Shelburne Shirt for over twenty years, and was a very good seamstress. Lucia was also a member of UNITE.

Besides her husband, of 53 years, she is survived by many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, Ilda Tavares, and Eduardo, Armindo & Jacinto Sousa.

Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Monday, April 25th, in Espirito Santo Church followed by her committal and entombment at the Notre Dame Cemetery Mausoleum.
