Luis A. Bernardo, 59, of Fall River, husband of Maria A. (Cabral) Bernardo, died on October 22, 2008 at Mass. General Hospital, Boston. Born in Cunha Baixa Mangualde, Portugal, son of Maria (Augusta) Bernardo, of Portugal, and the late Eduardo Bernardo, he emigrated to Fall River in 1977. He owned and operated Bernardo's Auto Repair and Sales for many years. Father of Michael Bernardo (wife-Rachel) of Fall River. Brother of Augusta & Joaquim Bernardo both of Cunha Baixa, Portugal, and Joao Bernardo of Lisbon, Portugal. He also leaves several nieces, nephews & godchildren. His funeral Mass was celebrated in Espirito Santo Church. Pallbearers Tony Pacheco, Joey Lopes, Ilfonso Mello, Antonio Marques, Alfredo Nunes and Antonio Alburquerque brought Luis to his final resting place at Notre Dame Cemetery.
