Luis D. Gomes, 79, of Fall River, husband of Leonilde (Rodrigues) Gomes, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 13, 2024 at Charlton Memorial Hospital following a long illness. Born in Ponta Delgada, St. Michael, Azores, he was a son of the late Armando Gomes and the late Angela (Dias) Gomes.

Prior to his retirement he worked as a professional photographer for Ronnie's Studio's for many years. A true home body, Luis simply enjoyed being home with his wife and watching movies. He also enjoyed recalling and telling stories from long ago. Most notably, Luis was a devoted husband and a kind and well respected gentleman.

Besides his wife of fifty years, he leaves his brother Armando Gomes and his wife, Maria, his sister-in-law, Karyn Rodrigues; nephew, Derek Gomes and niece, Christina Raposa.

His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Monday, May 20th, in St. Anthony of Padua Church followed by his committal at St. Patrick Cemetery.
