Luis F. Linhares, 82, of Warren St., Fall River, passed away Friday at home. Husband of Maria Jesus (Aguiar) Linhares. Born in Nordeste, St. Michael, Azores, son of the late Antonio and Leopoldina (Carreiro) Linhares. A retired construction worker, Luis was a former member of the Academica Club and an avid Benfica fan. Besides his wife, he is survived by a brother, Daniel Linhares of Fall River; two sisters, Maria Olivia Correira of Fall River and Maria do Rosario Espinola of Lisbon, Portugal; several nieces and nephews. He was also brother of the late Hortensa Linhares. His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Tuesday, November 24th, in Espirito Santo Church followed by his committal at Notre Dame Cemetery.
