Luisa C. Raposo, 85, of Fall River, wife of the late Venancio Raposo, passed away peacefully at St. Anne's Hospital after a brief illness. Born in Agua Retorta, St. Michael, Azores, she was a daughter of the late Manuel Resendes, Jr. and Maria Conceicao (Carreiro) Resendes. She worked as a seamstress in the local textile industry for many years prior to her retirement. Luisa enjoyed  trips to the water, traveling to the Azores, and simply being with her loving family. She leaves: her daughter, Paula Raposo of Marlborough, MA; her brothers, John Resendes of Fall River, David Resendes and his wife Louisa of Canada, and Manuel Resendes and his wife Idalina of Portugal; and many nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Maria, Virgilio, Jose, Antero, and Norberto, Resendes. Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Friday, March 22nd in St. Anthony of Padua Church followed by her committal at Notre Dame Cemetery.
