Luisa Silva, 76, of Fall River, wife of Francisco Silva, passed away on Wednesday, March 16, 2022 in the comforts of her home following a long illness. Born in Ponta Delgada, St. Michael, Azores, she was a daughter of the late Julio Almeida and the late Rosalina (Pereira) Almeida.

Prior to her retirement, she was a sewing machine operator in the local textile industry for many years. She loved cooking, sewing, housekeeping, and watching her soap operas, especially "The Bold and the Beautiful" and "The Young and the Restless". She also enjoyed her gin and tonic and residing in Florida and Lisbon for several years.

Besides her husband of fifty-five years, she leaves her children, Luis Silva and his wife, Lisa, Diane Mota and her husband, Arsenio, both of Fall River, and Teodora Silva-Nosek and her husband, Thomas, of Hopedale, Massachusetts; her two grandchildren, Brianna Silvia and Aliya Mota; one sister, Filomena Pereira and her husband, Marcelino, of Fall River; one brother, Jose Almeida and his wife, Delores, of Fall River; and several nieces and nephews. She was also the mother of the late Madelena Silva.

Luisa's funeral arrangements, under the care of the Silva-Faria Funeral Homes, were private. In lieu of flowers, kindly consider a donation in Luisa's memory to: Forever Paws Animal Shelter, 300 Lynwood St., Fall River, MA 02721.
