Luiz "Louis" S. Cabral, Jr., of Somerset, passed Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at home surrounded by his loving family at the age of 93.  He was the husband of Leotina "Leona" (Manica) Cabral with whom they shared 64 years of marriage. He was born in Ajuda da Bretanha, Sao Miguel, Azores and was a son of the late Luiz S. Cabral, Sr. and Abigail (Perreira) Cabral. He was a foreman for Aetna Bridge Company for many years. Louis was a World War II Army Veteran and had earned the Army of Occupation Medal of Germany, European Theater Campaign Ribbon, the Good Conduct Medal and the WWII Victory Medal.  In addition to his wife, he is survived by his three daughters: Elizabeth Mullaney and her husband Joseph of Dighton, Abigail Marie Cabral of Somerset, and Marie Ann Cavallo and her husband James of New Jersey; four grandchildren: Joseph Patrick Mullaney, Sean Louis Mullaney, Abigail Elizabeth Cavallo and Jamie Marie Cavallo and his sister Leonilda Roderiques of Westport. He was the brother of the late: Joseph Cabral, Antone Cabral, and Armand Cabral.  His Funeral Mass was Celebrated on Tuesday, April 18th in St. John of God Church, Somerset, followed by his committal with military honors at Notre Dame Cemetery in Fall River.
