Manuel M. Constancia, 85, of Fall River, husband of Almerinda (Fernandes) Constancia, died Monday 5/14/12 at St. Anne's Hospital after a short illness. Born in St. Michael, Azores, son of the late Joao & Maria (dos Santos) Constancia, he emigrated to Fall River in 1968. He worked for many years as a construction laborer with Local #610, retiring in 1989. A member of the former Our Lady of Health Church, he was also a member of its Holy Name Society. He enjoyed gardening. Besides his wife, of 60 years, he leaves: 3 children, John Constancia (wife Margarida), Maria Rego (husband Filomeno) & Joseph Constancia (wife Doreen) all of Fall River; 2 siblings, Jose M. Constancia & Silvana Silva both of Canada; 2 grandchildren Jonathon Constancia & John Paul Rego; 2 great granddaughters, Ava & Leah; several nieces & nephews. His funeral Mass was celebrated at Espirito Santo Church. He was laid to rest at Notre Dame Cemetery.
