Manuel Costa, Jr., 79, of Fall River, passed away on Wednesday, August 20, 2025. Born in Fall River, he was the son of the late Manuel Costa and the late Mary (Costa) Costa.

He was a graduate of Diman Vocational High School (Diman RVTHS). During his time at Diman he was a 3-sport athlete, playing baseball, soccer, and basketball. He carried his love for sports beyond high school playing golf and softball. He will be remembered as a great 3rd baseman with a unique swing. He was also a lifelong bowler. He spent most of his free time at "The Lanes."

After graduating, he was drafted for the Vietnam war and served his country honorably. When returning, he worked at Raytheon for a short time before moving over to the family business, Lisbon Construction. He was a member of the Laborer's Union Local 385. He ultimately became a partner at FC Construction, retiring in 2006. Post retirement he continued to enjoy bowling and time at the casino.

He is survived by: his longtime companion, Judith R. (Rocha) Costa; his son, Bryan Costa (wife Shannon) of Swansea; three grandchildren, Maya Costa, Brayden Costa and River Kai Costa; his sister, Brenda Costa of Providence, RI; and nephew, Roger J. Dubois Jr. Manuel was predeceased by his sister, Linda Dubois and his nephews, Jason & Scott.

Following a private cremation, a visitation period was held on Thursday, September 4th,  in our Fall River Chapel.
