Manuel Humberto Carvalho, 73, of Fall River, husband of Ana Isabel (Gouveia) Carvalho, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 25, 2022 at Charlton Memorial Hospital following a brief illness.  Born in Faja de Baixo, St. Michael, Azores, he was a son of the late Jose Carvalho da Silva and the late Maria Luisa da Silva.

Prior to his retirement he was a machine operator in the local textile industry for many years. Manuel was a practicing Roman Catholic, having a special devotion to Senhor Santo Cristo dos Milagres. An avid Santa Clara (his favorite), Benfica and Portugal fan, he also especially loved gardening and working on his cars and keeping them running in "tip-top" condition. Manuel enjoyed traveling back to his home in the Azores, Canada, and spending time with his grandchildren.

Besides his loving wife of thirty-seven years, he leaves his two sons, David G. Carvalho and his wife, Teresa, and Clifford G. Carvalho, both of Fall River; his grandchildren, Gabriel Joseph Carvalho and Francesca Marie Carvalho; one sister, Zinaria Silva of Fall River; one brother, Jose Antonio da Silva and his wife, Lucia, of Fall River; and many nieces and nephews.

His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Friday, March 4th, in Espírito Santo Church followed by his committal at Notre Dame Cemetery.
