Manuel Jacinto de Sousa Rebelo, better known as "Jesse", passed away on Tuesday, August 23, 2011 at the St. Anne's Hospital in Fall River, following an illness. Born in the village of Rabo De Peixe, on the island of Sao Miguel in the Azores, he was the son of the late Manuel J. Rebelo and the late Mary (Sousa) Rebelo. A resident of Somerset, he was the director of the Bilingual Program for the Fall River Family Services for many years. Survivors include a brother, Edgar Rebelo of Somerset and Sao Miguel, and several other family members in Sao Miguel. His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Friday, August 26, in St. John of God Church on Brayton Avenue in Somerset followed by committal services at Notre Dame Cemetery on Stafford Road in Fall River.
