Manuel C. Marques, 84, of Fall River, husband of Maria (Teves) Marques, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 20, 2025 at Sarah Brayton Nursing Home following a long illness. Born in Agua Retorta, St. Michael, Azores, he was a son of the late Luis Marques and the late Maria (Cabral) Marques.

Prior to his retirement he was the former owner and founder of Marques Market in the north end of Fall River. Manuel was a hard-worker, very devoted and dedicated to providing for his family. During the summer months, he loved going to feasts and selling produce at the Farmer's Market.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, Peter Marques (wife, Natasha) of Dartmouth, Brenda Marques of Bridgewater, New Jersey, and Kevin Marques (wife, Janet Rodriguez) of Fall River; his siblings, Tony Marques of Fall River, Veneranda Moniz of Arizona, Mary Jo Melo of Fall River, Gloria Marques of Fall River, Fatima Raposa of St. Michael, Azores, and Rosa Braga of Fall River; grandchildren, Ethan, Alessandra, and Nathan; and many nieces and nephews. Manuel is predeceased by his granddaughter Whitney Marques and his brother Luis Marques.

His Funeral Arrangements were private.
