Manuel V.  Martin, 81, husband of the late Clotilde (Amaro) Martin, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 7, 2022 in the comforts of his home following a brief illness. Born in Bretanha, St. Michael, Azores, he was a son of the late Manuel Martinho and the late Maria (Teixeira) Martinho.

Prior to his retirement, he was a machine operator in the local textile industry for many years. An avid New England sports fan, he also, in his younger days, loved playing soccer. He enjoyed rides to the ocean, dining on seafood and visits to Gray's Ice Cream in Tiverton.

He leaves his loving children, Manuel V. Martin, Jr. and his wife, Josephine, of Swinden Whiltshire, England, Eileen Martin and her wife, Marie, of Branford, Connecticut, Michael Martin and David V. Martin, both of Fall River, and Mary Ann V. Oszurek and her husband, Matthew, of Wethersfield, Connecticut; his four grandchildren, Katelyn Ferrell, Zamir Martin, Nathan Oszureck, and Isabella Oszurek; his two sisters, Odelia Arruda and her husband, Clement, of Dartmouth and Mariana de Almeida of Toronto, Canada; and many nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Antonio Martinho, Jose Martin, Joao Martinho, Conceicao Tavares, Lurdes Almeida, and Maria de Luz.

His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Monday, February 14th, in St. Anthony of Padua Church followed by his committal at St. Patrick Cemetery in Fall River.
