Manuel Medeiros, Jr., 90, of Westport, husband of the late Dolores (Thomas) Medeiros, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at Somerset Ridge Nursing Home following a long illness.

Born in Fall River, Massachusetts, he the son of the late Manuel Medeiros and the late Aldina (Borges) Oliveira.

Prior to his retirement he worked as a laborer in the local construction industry for many years. He loved golfing, bowling, trips to the casino, and, in his younger days, playing basketball. Always a "jokester" and meticulous about his appearance, Manuel also enjoyed dancing and taking photos of everyone at every family event.

He leaves his loving daughter and caregiver, Doreen Medeiros of Fall River and his daughter, Deborah Vaz of Florida; his four grandchildren, Zachary Burrell (Victoria), Jena Correia, Jennie Vaz, and Sarah Mehalit; four great-grandchildren, Zachary Burrell, Jr., Zayden Burrell, Zaylah Burrell, and Sophia Mehalit; one sister, Geraldine Letendre of Westport; a niece and nephews. He was also the father of the late Alfred Medeiros and brother of the late Irene Medeiros.

His Funeral will be held on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 from the Silva-Faria Funeral Home, 730 Bedford St., Fall River, at 9:00 AM with a Prayer Service in the Silva-Faria Funeral Home Chapel at 10:00 AM. He will be laid to rest alongside his late wife in Oak Grove Cemetery. His visitation will take place on Tuesday, December 20, 2022 in the Silva-Faria Funeral Home from 5-7 PM.
