Manuel Moreira, 90, of Fall River, husband of the late Margaret (Cabral) Moreira, passed away on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at Carvalho Grove Health and Rehabilitation Center. Born in Bretanha, St. Michael, Azores, a son of the late Joao Moreira and the late Maria (Cordeiro) Moreira, he emigrated to Fall River in the early 1950s.

A mason in the local construction industry, Manuel was employed with F. C. Construction for over 40 years and was a member of the bricklayer's union. He was so skilled as a laborer that he could build just about anything. Manuel was also a passionate gardener of fruits and vegetables, and he had operated a farm in his younger days.

He is survived by: two sisters, Maria Cabral of Tiverton, RI, and Hilda Viveiros of Fall River; a granddaughter, Melinda Cabral; a great granddaughter, Autumn Rose Cabral; and several nieces and nephews. Manuel was also the father of the late Michael Moreira; and brother of the late Dimas Moreira, Maria Viveiros, Helen Perreira, and Mariana Pedro.

His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Saturday, January 18th, in Espirito Santo Church followed by his committal and entombment at the Notre Dame Cemetery Mausoleum.
