On April 5, Manuel M. Nunes, Jr, loving husband and father of three, passed away at home at the age of 86 with his wife Janice and his children at his side.

He was a proud Navy Veteran who raised three children, Cheryl, Lee, Jamie, and a grandson, Jason. He will also be missed by his "favorite child," - his loyal Chihuahua, Brady. He was a skilled wood carver, an accomplished pun maker, and a compassionate man of patience. His inventive alterations to song lyrics and quick witted humor will be missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his loving wife of forty-three years, Janice Nunes, three children, a grandson, his sister, and several cousins, nieces and nephews.  Manuel was predeceased by his first wife, Marion, both of his parents, Manuel and Margaret, and his brother.

Due to the COVID pandemic, a private funeral service was held on Friday, April 10th, in our Fall River Chapel followed by his committal at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
