Obituary

Manuel A. Pavao, 80, of Fall River, husband of the late Maria Natalia (Pacheco) Pavao, passed away on Saturday, June 15, 2024, at Charlton Memorial Hospital, surrounded by his three daughters. Born in Bretanha, St. Michael, Azores, he was the son of the late Luis Pavao and the late Sarina (Oliveira) Pavao.

Prior to his retirement, he was a laborer in the local construction industry for many years, and a member of Local 610. Manuel enjoyed gardening, fishing, spending time with friends and family, and was a member of the Irmandade de Nossa Senhora da Ajuda Bretanha.

He is survived by: three daughters, Elizabeth Pavao (companion Stephen), Sandra Pavao (companion Peter), and Kelly Pavao (companion Brian) all of Fall River; a sister, Natalia Furtado of St. Michael, Azores; five grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was also the father of the late Paul Pavao; and the brother of the late Maria DoRosario DeSousa.

His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Thursday, June 20th, in Espirito Santo Church followed by his committal at Notre Dame Cemetery.
