Manuel F. Raposo, 88, of Fall River, husband of the late Deolinda (Luciano) Raposo, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 18, 2018 at Care One Nursing Home. Born in Bretanha, St.Michael, Azores, he was the son of the late Manuel and Florinda (Cabral) Raposo. He worked in the construction industry for many years prior to his retirement. He enjoyed cooking, gardening, tending to his animals, and trips to the beach. Manuel leaves: his children, John Raposo and his wife Pilar of the Azores, Manuel Raposo and his wife Danielle, Margaret Raposo, Goretti Silva and her husband Henry, and Lucy Gaglio and her husband Joe, of Fall River, and Maria Gouveia and her husband Eddy of Westport; twelve grandchildren, many great-grandchildren; a sister, Adelaide Costa (late husband Manuel) of the Azores; and many nieces and nephews. He was also the grandfather of the late Derrick Silva. His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Friday, Fenruary 23rd, in Espírito Santo Church followed by his committal at Notre Dame Cemetery.
