Manuel Aguiar Rebelo, 78, of Fall River, husband of Maria M. (Machado) Rebelo, passed away peacefully at the Catholic Memorial Home on Friday, June 7, 2019 after a long illness. Born in Remedios, Bretanha, São Miguel, Azores, he was the son of the late José and Maria Mercedes (Miranda) Rebelo. He was a bright and talented man, who was trained as an electrician in Brazil where he designed and built his own home in São Paulo. Manuel also had a love for animals, loved gardening and simply being at home, spending quality time with family. Besides his wife of fifty-four years, he leaves: his children, Helena M. Brillo and her husband, Michael, of Assonet, José Antonio M. Rebelo and his wife, Maria Fatima, Aparecido M. Rebelo and his wife, Anna, both of Fall River, André M. Rebelo and his wife, Lane, of Ashland, MA, and Luis M. Rebelo and his wife, Lina, of Somerset; six grandchildren, Ashleigh, Matthew, Brianna, Clara, Annie, and Jacob; a sister, Beatriz Miranda Rebelo of Lisbon, Portugal; and many nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Maria Miranda Rebelo and Serafina Miranda Rebelo. His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Friday, June 14th, in Espirito Santo Church followed by his committal at Notre Dame Cemetery.
