Manuel M. Rego, 75, of Fall River, husband of the late Maria (Mello) Rego, passed away on Monday, May 18, 2026, at home, surrounded by his family.

Born in Ajuda da Bretanha, St. Michael, Azores, he was a son of the late Manuel Rego and the late Mariana (Medeiros) Rego.

Prior to retirement, Manuel worked as a machine operator at Quaker Fabric. He enjoyed working in his yard, especially his garden and was an avid Benfica fan. Manuel relished the time he spent with his family, specifically his grandchildren.

Manuel leaves his son-in-law David DeSousa, of Fall River; grandchildren, Elijah John (EJ) and Gianna Maria; sister Maria Rego, of Fall River; and many nieces and nephews. Manuel was predeceased by his daughter Dora DeSousa; siblings, Antonio Rego, Valdemar Rego, and Joao Rego.

His Funeral will be held on Friday, May 22, 2026, at 9:00 AM from the Silva-Faria Funeral Home, 730 Bedford St., Fall River, with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated in Espírito Santo Church at 10:00 AM. His visitation will also take place on Friday morning, May 22, 2026, in the Silva-Faria Funeral Home from 8:00-9:30 AM. Committal and Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery.
