Manuel M. Rodrigues, 91, of Fall River, husband of the late Helena (Mello) Rodrigues and the late Maria (Barreira) Rodrigues, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 13, 2023 in the comforts of his home following a long illness. Born in St. Vicente Ferreira, Ponta Delgada, St. Michael, Azores, he was the son of the late Manuel Rodrigues and the late Angelina C. F. (Medeiros) Rodrigues.

Prior to his retirement he was a laborer in the local construction industry for many years. He loved tending to his grapevines, fishing, and making his own wine. A devout Catholic, Manuel was an active member of the Holy Ghost Feast Committee of Espirito Santo Church and was always willing and eager to help the church with any of its many events.

He leaves his loving children, Luis M. Rodrigues and his wife, Diane, of New Bedford, Joseph L. Rodrigues and his wife, Normanda, of Fall River, and Lisa M. Meleski (late husband, Raymond) of Westport; his grandchildren, Stacie Rodrigues, Jessica Rodrigues, Kimmy Halpin, Gary Arpa, Jr., and Joseph Arpa; many great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Maria Cabral, Elvira Correia, and Belmira Pontes.

His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Tuesday, June 20nd, in Espirito Santo Church followed by his committal at Notre Dame Cemetery.
