Manuel S. Rodrigues, age 32, of Westport, Massachusetts, passed away at home on Tuesday, September 15, 2009. Born in Fall River, he was the son of Joao L. Rodrigues of Fall River and the late Mary G. (Furnas) Rodrigues. He was also the grandson of Louis Furnas of Berwick, Maine. A resident of Fall River for most his life, he was employed as a laborer with R. J. V. Construction for many years. Manuel was a motorcycle enthusiast. In addition to his father and grandfather, surviving family members include his children, Samantha & Alissa Rodrigues of Florida, and Hannah & Logan Rodrigues of Swansea, MA, four brothers, Jerald L. Rodrigues of Fall River, Robert F. Rodrigues of Westport, MA, Joao M. Rodrigues and Louis S. Rodrigues, both of Fall River and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews & cousins. Relatives and friends were invited to pay thier respects to Manuel at the Silva-Faria Funeral Home on Friday, September 18th. Manuel's cremated remains will be interred in Oak Grove Cemetery at a later date.
