Manuel S. Souza, 91, of Woonsocket, RI, and formerly of Somerset, passed away on Wednesday. Husband of the late Hilda (Manuel) Souza. Born in St. Michael, Azores, he was son of the late Anthony and Rosa Souza. A WWII Veteran of the U.S. Army, he was the manager at the former Tom McCann shoe store for many years. He was grandfather of Kerry Umbanhowar, Jeff and Mark Souza; brother of Elsie Souza of Middletown, RI and father of the late Robert Souza. His funeral Mass was offered n St. John of God Church on Monday, April 18. Interment was in Notre Dame Cemetery.
