Manuel "Meno" Souza, 90, of Fall River, husband of the late Lillian (Dupont) Souza, died on Feb. 21, 2008, after a short illness. Born in, and a lifelong resident of, Fall River, he was a son of the late Joseph & Mary Catherine (Correia) Souza. He had been an employee of Newport Roofing for many years. An Army veteran, he served during World War II in the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign. Survivors include: children, Paul (and his wife Paula) Souza of Marco Island, FL and Mary Ann (and her husband Kerry) Shea of Bonita Springs, FL; granddaughter, Stacey (and her husband Charles) Phillips of Tiverton; great grandchildren, Paige & Camden Phillips, several nieces and nephews; and his dearest friend and companion, Val Rioux. He was also the brother of the late Joseph Souza. His funeral Mass was celebrated in Holy Trinity Parish Church. Pallbearers were Arthur and Christopher Latessa, Charles and Richard Phillips, Gene Levesque and William Courville. His was laid to rest at Notre Dame Cemetery.
