Manuel T. Costa, 77, of Fall River, husband of Maria F. (Moniz) Costa, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 25, 2018 at St. Anne's Hospital. Born in Ribeira Seca, St.Michael, Azores, he was a son of the late Manuel Costa Aguiar and Amozinha (Teixeira) Aguiar. Manuel worked in the local textile industry for many years prior to his retirement. An avid soccer fan of The Sporting Club of Lisbon, he also enjoyed making his own wine, playing cards and dominos, cowboy movies, and most importantly, spending time with family. Besides his wife of fifty-two years, he leaves his nieces, Helen Pires, Natalie Fernandes, Goretti Medeiros, Lucy Fernandes, and Helen Leite; and nephews, Manny Viveiros and Luis Moniz. He was also the brother of the late Maria Fernandes and Leonor Viveiros and uncle to the late Ana Viveiros and Joseph Fernandes. His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Tuesday, April 3rd, in Santo Christo Church followed by his committal at Notre Dame Cemetery.
