Manuel B. Torres, 83, formerly of Westport, passed away Monday after a long illness. Husband of the late Cremilde R. Torres. Born in Sao Vicente, St. Michael, Azores, son of the late Manuel and Guilhermina (Farias) Bento Torres. He worked at RI Nurseries for many years. Beloved father of Niveria Connie Pavao of Westport, Idalina Botelho, Lydia Camara and Carlos Torres all of Fall River; grandfather of Chad and Shannen Pavao, Christopher and Christina Paulino, Kevin and Eric Camara, Marisa and Jericha Torres; brother of the late Antonio Torres, Filomena Raposo and Idalina Sousa. He also leaves 3 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Thursday, March 6, in Santo Christo Church followed by his committal at Notre Dame Cemetery.
