Manuel V. Miranda, 89, of Fall River, husband of the late Julieta (Bertolucci) Miranda, passed away peacefully on October 26, 2024 at Catholic Memorial Home following a period of declining health. Born in Bretanha, St. Michael, Azores, he was the son of the late Joao Miranda and the late Maria (Raposo) Miranda.

Prior to his retirement he worked in the local textile industry as a machine operator for many years. An avid Benfica fan, he also enjoyed woodworking and cooking. But what was most important to Manuel was spending quality time with all of his family.

He leaves his loving children, Carlos A. Miranda (late wife, Rosa) of Fall River and Maria Isabel Miranda of Pawtucket, Rhode Island; his granddaughter, Vanessa  Hart and her husband, Jameson, of Swansea; sisters, Margarida Dumas, Lucilia Rego, and Clara Viveiros, all of Fall River; his brother, John Miranda of Fall River; and many nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Theresa Resendes, Manuela Orlando, and Antonio Miranda.

His funeral arrangements were private.
