Manuel C. Vieira, 82, of Westport, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday. He was the husband of Ernestine (Amaral) Vieira, with whom he shared 61 years of marriage. Born in Portugal, son of the late Manuel B. and Adeline (Carreiro) Vieira. He worked for the former Lightolier and Sarama lighting companies. Survivors include daughters, Judy Correia (husband – Carl) and Mary Rose, both of Fall River; a son, Steven Vieira (wife – Rose) of Leicester, NC; brothers, Louis Vieira of Florida, John Vieira of Portsmouth, RI and Joseph Vieira of Fall River; sisters, Mary Jewell of Somerset and Juliette Dunn of Fall River; grandchildren, Alexandria, Nathan, Kendra, Sierra, Jennifer, Kevin, David and Amy; great grandchildren, Miranda, Alexis, Jacob, Tessa, Kyra, Phillip, Kenneth, Jordynne, Sydney, Maryanne, Abigail, Kyle, Lesa and Ethan. He was also father of the late Linda Dube. His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Thursday, June 21, in Our Lady of Grace Church, Sanford Rd., Westport followed by his committal at St. Patrick Cemetery in Fall River.
