Obituary

Margaret D. DiPalma, 92, of Coventry, R.I., formerly of Fall River, widow of Alfred F. DiPalma, passed away on Tuesday, June 16, 2020, at Respiratory & Rehabilitation Center of Rhode Island, Coventry, RI. Born in Fall River, a daughter of the late Vito Ciullo and the late Eleanora (Martucci) Ciullo, she had worked as a seamstress in the local garment industry for many years prior to her retirement.

A big Red Sox fan, she enjoyed cooking and entertaining, always making homemade food for family gatherings, which brought her the most joy – and she was well loved by all of the surviving many nieces and nephews, including her loving niece and devoted caregiver, Deborah Picozzi of Coventry, RI. Margaret also leaves many grand-nieces/-nephews, and great grand-nieces/-nephews. She was the sister of the late Gladys Durand, Carmela "Ella" Lanni, Alfred Ciullo, Jerry Ciullo, Vera Souza, and Rose McNulty.

Due to the COVID pandemic, Margaret was laid to rest on Monday, June 22nd, with a private committal service at St. Patrick Cemetery.

When the current crisis allows, Margaret's family is planning to celebrate her life with a Memorial Funeral Mass at St. Anthony of Padua Church, which will be announced here.

Family members are always grateful for relatives and friends wishing to make in-person expressions of kindness and support. Being unable to do so, because of this pandemic, all are urged to express sympathy online or by mail.

To ensure that said condolences reach the family, please always make sure that submissions online are made directly through the funeral home's website ( www.silvafaria.com ) and not through a third party. Thank you!
