Margaret (Smith) Kozak, 87, of Westport, died on June 12, 2008 in the company of her family. She was the widow of Walter Kozak. Born in Fall River, daughter of the late Kalil & Najeebie (Mujais) Smith. A BMC Durfee High school graduate, class of 1939, she received her nursing license at Morton Hospital and worked at the former Fall River General Hospital for many years. She enjoyed playing bingo and dancing and was active in various organizations. She was a lifelong member of the Calvary United Presbyterian Church. Survivors include a daughter, Audrey Both (husband Alan) of Orange Park, FL, a son, Karl Kozak (wife Diane) of Westport, brothers, Benjamin Smith of Dartmouth, Edward Smith of Fall River & Alfred Smith of Taunton, grandchildren Jessica Strange, Amanda Both & Nicholas Kozak, great grandchildren, Sarah & Evan Strange, and several nieces and nephews. She was also sister of the late Theodore Smith & Helen Just. Her funeral Mass was celebrated at Calvary United Presbyterian Church. Pallbearers Nicholas and Steve Kozak, Brian Strange, Shawn Abernathy, David Gauthier and Michael Gilroy brought Margaret to her final resting place at Oak Grove Cemetery.
