Margaret Leite, age 57, beloved wife of Octave J. Leite of Westport, MA, passed away at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston on Sunday, July 26, 2009, following a brief illness. Born and raised in Tiverton, Rhode Island, she was a daughter of Joseph Ferreira and Christine (Kouremeti) Ferreira, also of Westport. After living in Fall River for several years she moved to Westport in 1985 and was employed as an executive assistant by the RDW Group at their offices in Providence, Rhode Island. Beginning her career with the Fern/Hanaway Agency, "Peggy" spent over 30 years performing her job with excellence and elegance. She was admired, respected and loved by her colleagues, clients and all whom she came in contact with. An avid bowler, Margaret was a member of the Southeastern Massachusetts Bowling Association and served on their Board of Directors. In addition to her husband and parents, family members include her sister, Mary Ferreira of Charlottesville, Virginia, a nephew, James Ferreira, a niece, Christine Carvalho, a great niece, Tabitha Carvalho and sister-in-law, Pat Ferreira (widow of Margaret's late brother, Joseph). Her funeral Mass was celebrated in Espirito Santo Church Paulbearers Gary Couture, Ed Gagnon, Tom and Ben Mello, Greg Martel and Jim Brodeur brought Peggy to her final resting place at at Saint Patrick Cemetery in Fall River.
