Margaret Mary Lima, best known as Margie, entered eternal life on Wednesday, at the age of 74. She goes on to reunite with her much loved mother Margaret, father Roland, brothers Roland & Don Lariviere, and her husband Jerry Lima. Her joyous spirit will live on through her children; Donna Ayala, Doreen Gendreau, Darlene Hryciw, Dawn, Jerry and Gary Lima; and sisters; Diane Raposa, June DeMello, Barbara& Theresa Lariviere, Patricia Furtado, Rita Grandfield; 7 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Her powerful, unquestioning faith in God & her accepting nature of life & people, are her gifts that will remain. Margie loved music, especially Josh Groban, even attending his concert though quite ill. She spent her years raising her 6 children, content with her family around her, never wanting or needing more. She exhibited intelligence & strength of character, empowering her children. She was best known for her laughing spirit, and keen wit, and great insight to life. Her infectious laugh could light up a room, and all around her knew her to be a "great lady". Margie's vibrancy was never dulled by her chronic illness, and she created a sense of family & inclusion, comforting others, in spite of it. Her beautiful, dancing green eyes were the windows to her soul. Her enduring legacy will be her acceptance, unwavering faith and unassuming ways. She is our brave one, our "bright eyes", our role model; our Mommy. Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Monday, August 4th, in St. Mary's Cathedral followed by her committal at Notre Dame Cemetery.
