Margaret M. McRee, 88, of Fall River, passed away peacefully at St. Anne's Hospital after a long illness. Born in Fall River, a daughter of the late Calixte and Marie (Henault) Monast. She was a machine operator for Gemco for many years prior to her retirement. She loved cooking, shopping, bingo, and trips with her family to New Hampshire. A devout Catholic, Margaret was steadfast in praying the rosary on a daily basis. A warm-hearted, selfless woman, she was most instrumental in raising not only her grandchildren but also her great-grandchildren. She leaves: her daughter, Pauline Ferreira of Fall River; five grandchildren, Victoria Cookson, Jerome Ferreira, Vincent Isabel, Heather Isabel, and Paul Isabel; four great-grandchildren, Justin Botelho, Taylor Lauzon, Jadin Cookson, and Preston Cookson; and several nieces and nephews. She was also the mother of the late Peter, Paul, and Elaine McRee, and Susan Isabel. Her Funeral Service was held on Thursday, June 20th, in our Fall River Chapel followed by her committal at St. Patrick Cemetery.
