Margaret (Souza) Pacheco, 91, of Fall River, passed away on Saturday, May 16, 2020 in Taunton.  She was the widow of Arthur S. Pacheco with whom they shared 59 years of marriage. Margaret was born in Taunton and was a daughter of the late Ernest and  Mary Sarah (Ferreira) Souza.

Mrs. Pacheco was a machine operator for many years and was a parishioner of Espirito Santo Church. She enjoyed sewing and reading non-historical fiction.

She is survived by 2 children, Belmira Pacheco of Fall River, and Patricia Bessette and her husband Phillip of Florida, many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Kathleen Pacheco, twin sister of the late Dorothy Carvalho and her late husband Daniel, Lydia Luciano and her late husband Carlos, Philip Souza and his wife Helga , David Souza, and Alfrena DaPonte and her late husband John. Margaret leaves behind several nieces and nephews.

Due to the COVID pandemic, Margaret was laid to rest on Wednesday, May 20th, with a private committal service at St. Patrick Cemetery.

When the current crisis allows, her family is planning to celebrate her life with a Memorial Funeral Mass at Espirito Santo Church, which will be announced here.
