Margaret Skurka, 83, of Fall River and formerly of Thomas St., passed away on Sunday, November 7, 2010. Widow of Matthew J. Skurka. Born in Fall River, daughter of the late Manuel & Gloria (Simao) Arruda. She worked for Fall River Knitting, was a parishioner of Espirito Santo and belonged to the Holy Rosary Sodality. Survivors include sons, Matthew P. Skurka and Richard Skurka, both of Fall River; brothers, Albert Arruda of Somerset and Charles E. Arruda of Virginia; sister, Rita Tetreault of Fall River, and several nieces and nephews. She was also sister of the late Antone D. Arruda. Her funeral Mass was celebrated in Espirito Santo Church. She was laid to rest in Notre Dame Cemetery.
