Margarida M. DeMedeiros, 78, of Fall River, passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at Charlton Memorial Hospital.  Born in Agua Retorta, St. Michael, Azores, a daughter of the late Jose Cabral Medeiros and the late Maria G. (Branco) Medeiros, she emigrated to Fall River in 1965.

After having worked for a number of years at the former Anderson-Little, Margarida was then employed for fifteen years in housekeeping at a nursing home in Dennis, MA.  She adored her grandniece's dog Hero and her grandnephew's cats Loki and Tchalla.

She is survived by: a grandniece, Natasha Teixeira (husband Brian) of Fall River; a grandnephew, Alex Garcia of Fall River; and many cousins.  Margarida was predeceased by: three siblings, Maria B. Cabral, Manuel Cabral Medeiros, and Deolinda Medeiros; and a niece, Patricia Garcia.

Relatives and Friends are invited to attend her Calling Hours to be held in Silva-Faria Funeral Home, 730 Bedford Street, Fall River, on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

Her Funeral will be held on Thursday, April 16, 2026, at 9:00 am from the Silva-Faria Funeral Home, 730 Bedford St, Fall River, with a Mass of Christian Burial to be offered in St. Anthony of Padua Church at 10 am. Committal Service and interment will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery.
