Margarida A. Estacio, age 50, of Pitman Street in Fall River, daughter of Francisco and Maria Estacio, was given her angel wings on April 30, 2010, following a courageous, three year battle with cancer. She passed away at Charlton Memorial Hospital surrounded by her family, who loved her very much. She was born on January 8, 1960, in Amoreiras, Bretanha, Sao Miguel, and immigrated to the United States (Fall River) in 1978, where she lived with her family until her passing. Besides her parents, she leaves four siblings, Goretti Mota and her husband Jose, Olivia Sousa and her husband Jose Manuel, Maria Avelar and her husband Joao Jose her brother, Francisco Estacio; and many nieces, nephews and two great-grand nieces, all who will miss her very much. Margarida's life would seem too short to many, but those who were touched by her understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. Her gentle smile brought so much joy to her family. Although she was so sick and frail, she gave us all such courage and hope and reminded us of the preciousness of life. Her Funeral Mass was offered on Tuesday, May 4, in Espirito Santo Church followed by a committal service at Notre Dame Cemetery.
