Margarida R. (Tavares) Mendonca, of Fall River, passed away on Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at her residence at the age of 56.  She was the wife of the late Dinarte Mendonca with whom they shared 30 years of marriage. Born in Sao Roque, St. Michael, Azores, she was a daughter of Dalia Tavares and the late Joao Tavares. She had been employed at A. Ellis for many years prior to being employed by Matouk. Although her time there was limited, Matouk employees became her second family. Besides her mother, she is survived by her companion, Serafim Sousa; her 3 children, Andrew, Erica and Austin Mendonca all of Fall River; 2 grandchildren, Kasen Mendonca and Anthony Barbosa; 7 siblings, Luis Tavares, Maria Moniz, Raul Tavares, Catarina Resendes, Sandra Valcorba and Carla Tavares all of Fall River, and Alex Tavares of Raynham. She was the sister of the late Alexandre M. Tavares. Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Friday, November 22nd, in St. Anthony of Padua Church followed by her committal at St. Patrick Cemetery. The family would like to thank Matouk for their generosity and kind gestures during this time.
