Marguerite A. (Pereira) Bouchard, formerly Lavoie, age 67, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, August 20, 2011, at the St. Anne's Hospital in Fall River, Massachusetts. A Fall River resident for most of her life, she was the wife of Alan R. Bouchard. Born in Fall River, she was a daughter of the late Manuel C. Pereira and the late Susan (Benedetto) Pereira. Marguerite was employed as a housekeeper for several years at the SSTAR Center on Stanley Street in Fall River. In addition to her husband, Alan, family members include a son, Jason Lavoie and wife Jocelyn of Middletown, Rhode Island, two daughters; Christine McElroy and husband Scott of Westport, Massachusetts, and Nicole Greene and husband Jerome of Fayetteville, North Carolina, two brothers, Manuel Pereira of Tiverton, RI, and Ronald Pereira and wife Kathy of Fall River, two sisters, Jacqueline Sirois and Beverly DiCesaro and husband David, all of Fall River, four grandchildren, Ethan McElroy, Lucas McElroy, Madison Lavoie and Autumn Greene and several nieces and nephews. She also leaves her former husband Robert Lavoie. A Memorial Service, officiated by Fr. Fred Babiczuk, was held at our Fall River Chapel on Saturday, August 27.
