Maria A. Almeida, 92 of Fall River, widow of Ilberto Almeida, died Wednesday 3/14/12 at St Anne's Hospital. Born in St. Michael, Azores, daughter of the late Manuel & Rosaria R. (Rodrigues) Pedro, she emigrated to Fall River in 1960. She worked in the local textile industry for many years, retiring in 1982. She was a member of the former Our Lady of Health Church. She leaves: 3 children, Judite M. Serpa (husband Lucio), Maria F. Almeida, & Horacio M. Almeida all of Fall River; and 1 nephew/godson, Hildeberto Pacheco of California. Her funeral Mass was celebrated at St Anthony of Padua Church. She was laid to rest at Notre Dame Cemetery.
