Maria M. (Silva) Alves, 93, of Fall River, formerly of Swansea, widow of Manuel Pereira Alves died Friday, August 17, 2007 at Catholic Memorial Home, Fall River. Born in Terceira, Azores, daughter of the late Jose & Maria A. (Silva) Goncalves, she emigrated to Fall River in 1973. She is survived by: children, Alice Goulart of Swansea, Ildeberto Alves & Manuela Miguel both of Fall River, Helio Alves of Terceira, Azores; 13 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was also sister of the late Maria do Carmo Laurenco & Evangelina Andrade. Funeral was held Tuesday, August 21st in St. Anthony of Padua Church. Pallbearers were Al Alves, Gino Goulart, George Alves, Paul Alves, Joe Miguel and Tony Miguel. Interment Oak Grove Cemetery.
