Maria Ines Rita Amaral, 88, of Fall River, widow of Caesar R. Amaral, passed away on Thursday, May 23, 2024, at St. Anne's Hospital.  Born Povoacao, St. Michael, Azores, she was a daughter of the late Francisco Pacheco and the late Maria Odelia (Mota) Pacheco.

She emigrated to Fall River in 1969 and worked for many years in the local textile industry. Ines was also a member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union ("ILGWU") now called UNITE.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews, including her caregiver, Joseph F. De Mello of Fall River. Ines was predeceased by all her siblings: Cecilia Pimentel, Nascimento De Mello, Manuel da Mota, and Jose Amorin Pacheco.

Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Thursday, May 30th, in St. Michael's Church followed by her committal at St. Patrick Cemetery.
