Maria Angelina (Peixoto) Correia, 76, of Tiverton, RI passed away on Thursday, August 15, at home surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with cancer. She was the wife of Guilherme Correia with whom she shared 55 wonderful years of marriage. Born in Sao Miguel Azores, she was the daughter of the late Manuel and Maria (Coroa) Peixoto. Angelina worked at Able Mfg for over 40 years as a machine operator making children's clothes where she developed a passion for sewing. A devout Catholic she was a communicant of the Holy Ghost Church, where she did Hour of Adoration every Thursday and was active with the yearly Bazaar. She enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking, gardening, sewing, and making her special book bags. Angelina will be Greatly Missed and will be remembered as a Wonderful wife, Loving and Devoted mother and a really Cool Grandma. In addition to her husband, she is survived by: 3 children, William Correia (wife Karen) and Elizabeth Cayer (husband Matthew) all of Tiverton, and Rose Larrivee (husband Eric) of Westport; 7 grandchildren, William, Chad and Cassidy Correia, Evan Cayer, Kate, Drew and Michael Larrivee; 2 great grandchildren, William and Jade Correia; 5 siblings, Manuel Peixoto (wife Maria) of Tiverton, Leo Peixoto (wife Rita) of Dartmouth, Mary Rose Viveiros (husband Joe) of Fall River, Constance Ferreira (husband Carlos) of Westport , Gerri Mays (husband Donald) of Somerset; many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was also sister of the late Gilbert C. and Jesse Peixoto. Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Monday, August 19, in
Holy Ghost Church in Tiverton followed by her committal at Pocasset Hill Cemetery.
